What the MC10 analysis shows
Looking in the mirror only tells part of the story. The MC10 system assesses key aspects of your skin's health, including hydration levels, texture, elasticity, pigmentation, fine lines and areas of sensitivity, some of which may not yet be visible to the naked eye.
Seeing this information laid out makes it much easier to understand why your skin behaves the way it does. Pigmentation that has not yet surfaced, dehydration underneath oily skin, or sensitivity that explains why some products sting are all things that can show up clearly on the analysis.
Because the analysis gives precise information about your skin's current condition, it also gives us a baseline. Repeating it later lets you and your practitioner see how your skin is responding to treatment and home care over time.
Your skincare consultation with our team
Your analysis is part of a skincare consultation with one of our practitioners, all of them registered healthcare professionals. They will talk with you about your skin concerns and goals, take a full medical history, and go through your results with you in plain language.
From there, we can put together a tailored plan. That might be a home routine using ZO Skin Health, the medical-grade skincare range we stock, or our own Avismo Skin range, which was developed with expert cosmetic chemists and is available in clinic and online.
The analysis costs £40, and that £40 is redeemable when you spend £100 or more on skincare or treatments. If you would simply like to talk through your skin without the MC10 analysis, our standard skincare consultation is free.
Planning treatments around your results
The analysis is designed to make every treatment that follows more effective. Whether you are considering a chemical peel, a Profacial, dermaplaning, LED therapy or a more advanced treatment such as SkinPen microneedling, your results help us choose the right option and the right strength for your skin.
It is a particularly useful first step if you have tried products or treatments in the past without the results you hoped for, if you are dealing with more than one concern at once, or if you simply want to understand your skin before investing in it.
There is nothing invasive involved and no downtime, so you can carry on with your day afterwards. If you would like to go ahead with a treatment we recommend, we can often book it in for another day, or discuss what is possible on the same visit.

Serious risks
The analysis is a non-invasive assessment and does not treat the skin. It is not a medical diagnosis. If anything on your skin looks concerning, such as a changing mole, we will advise you on the right next step, which may include seeing your GP or using our Map My Mole service.

How much does facial analysis cost?
A skincare consultation with MC10 facial analysis is £40, redeemable when you spend £100 or more on skincare or treatments. A standard skincare consultation without the analysis is free.
What does the MC10 measure?
It assesses hydration, texture, elasticity, pigmentation, fine lines and areas of sensitivity, helping reveal issues that may not be visible to the naked eye.
Who carries out the analysis?
Your skincare consultation is with one of our practitioners, Karen, Lorna or Andrea, all registered healthcare professionals.
Do I need to buy anything afterwards?
No. You leave with a clear picture of your skin and a recommended plan, and there is no obligation to buy products or book treatments.
Should I wear makeup to my appointment?
It is best to arrive with clean skin if you can, so the analysis reflects your skin as it really is.
Is facial analysis useful before a peel or other treatment?
Yes. The results help us choose the right treatment and strength for your skin, whether that is a peel, Profacial, LED, dermaplaning or something more advanced. Your consultation is free and there is no obligation to go ahead. It is where we check your medical history, talk through what you would like to change, and agree a plan together.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 48 hours notice if you need to move or cancel your appointment, so the time can be offered to someone else. Deposits and late-cancellation terms are explained when you book through our online booking system.
I live in Huntingdon, St Neots or Cambridge. Is the clinic easy to reach?
Yes. Many of our clients travel in from Huntingdon, St Neots, Cambridge and the surrounding villages. The clinic is at 28 Edison Road, St Ives, PE27 3LF, about 15 minutes' drive from Huntingdon and around 30 minutes from St Neots and Cambridge. I had my first appointment with Lorna for [anti-wrinkle treatment], I was nervous but I was soon put at ease. The treatment was done slowly and carefully, I'm 3 days post treatment, I have no bruising and looking forward to seeing the finished result. I went through crytherapy treatment for skin tags on my face and chest area twice now with Karen. Both times the marks disappeared without a trace. The treatment is not painful at all however it could be a little unpleasant but Karen made it easier and more bearable with her professional approach and lovely personality.
