Worried about anything after your treatment? Call or message the clinic on 07958 129660. If it is urgent and you cannot reach us, call NHS 111, or 999 in an emergency.
What to do
- Avoid touching or massaging the area for the rest of the day
- No makeup over the injection points for twelve hours
- No alcohol, strenuous exercise, saunas or steam rooms for 24 hours
- No facials, peels or other treatments over the area for two weeks
- Sleep slightly elevated for the first night or two if you swell easily
What is normal
- Mild swelling, redness or tenderness, usually settling within a few days
- Small lumps at the injection sites that soften over the following days
- Bruising
When to call
Serious complications are rare. As with any injectable hyaluronic acid treatment, there is a small risk of infection and, very rarely, of product affecting a blood vessel. Our injectors are trained to recognise and manage complications, hyaluronidase is kept on site, and you are given a number to call straight away if you notice unusual pain, whitening or mottling of the skin, or any change in your vision.
